growing在这个位置上只能做结果状语或者伴随状语，其主语都应该是句子的主语，在这个句子中species是主语，所以不符。要是修饰whale的话，不应该有逗号的
E不要it的原因是and要并列，相同的分句主语是which

那growing这句实际上修饰的是species 而需要它修饰的是whale吗？
