但一想到not only...but also, 就觉得D怎么能正确呢？
难道but it also跟 not only...but also 不是一类的？

我用排除法选了B,但是B也确实对得不整齐。
Not only did the systematic clearing of forests do sth...but also did sth...

这道题感觉很confusing, 我担心下次遇到类似的题会找不着感觉，请大家帮帮忙解释下，感激不尽。。。

首先B 的which 很明显的修饰farmland,但是句子很是说The systematic clearing of forests gave consumers relatively inexpensive houses and furniture （正确句子表达的意思一样）

其次 D中的 but it also 不需要严格的追究一个结构我觉得做语法的时候也不能太刻意的去套了还是要理解意思吧这里是 “也 ”的意思不要太想复杂了

有道理，同意。

我做过许多语法题，曾经见过好几道逗号后的which不修饰逗号前名词的情况，尽管这种情况不多。
我也觉得做语法不能套，最重要的还是理解句子意思，比较不同的选项。
