答案给的是A，我选的D。rencently不是现在完成式的时间状语吗？为什么rencently要加过去式。我看Manhattan有老师说因为until选的一般过去式，不理解until recently的时态用法

这题答案是B，我选的A，虽然后来发现instead of语义错误，但是instead后面不是加动词原形么，有instead doing这种用法吗？这题答案给的B，我选的A，发现instead of用法错误

第一题，帮你找到了个比较有说服力的吧算：
notice that this is not until NOW -- this is until a time in the recent past. therefore, because this is not happening anymore (and is not directly relevant to some mentioned present situation), you should use the past tense.

therefore, (d) has two problems:
* "up until" is redundant (you wouldn't be expected to pick this out by yourself, but you should notice it in comparison to the more compact "until")
* the present perfect doesn't really make sense; should be the past tense

这个解释好像还是以until这个时间状语做推断出用过去式，但是prep08笔记里有说，rencently是现在完成式的标志，所以我判断时间状语的标志是rencently。
而且我看讨论说up until这个词组在朗文字典里是有的，但不知道韦伯斯特字典有没有这种用法

我感觉板凳的解释可能是Ron的解释，很权威也很清晰。
对我来说，Until recently说明最近这个动作结束了，现在完成时要求the action started some time ago and is still ongoing today。
Up until没有见过这个用法。

instead doing这种用法可以吗，我在Manhattan的习语里只看到有instead do这种用法，所以就把B排除了

谢谢啊~又仔细想了一下想明白了，recently加现在完成式，但是until rencently和rencently表达的含义不一样所以时态也不一样，还是得注意句意判断时态。
我看到楼上的解释第一反应也是觉得像Ron大神说话的口气哈哈
