C选项是语法上有错呢，还是只是不如E简洁，谢谢！

如果选C,只能理解为C是one的定语从句，并省略了关系代词。即;

one (which) they believe that it is of a type ~~~~

这个关系代词必须在从句中担当一定成分，但C的从句十分完整，无关系代词落脚之地。
