standards as stringent as those for diesel cars.... as ... as 前后应该一致啊。这个those 就是指代stardards for Diesel cars。没有问题。不明白你说的什么those的单独出现原则，除非是绝对的语法原则和固定搭配，xdf的解题技巧只是基于题目的总结，不一定是绝对对的。所以还是应该批判的继承吧。

Those here replace the standers.

A. The subject is not the "law" but the sports vehicles. The "they" can used to replace the vehicles and the standers, and so it is confusing.

B. The same mistake of subject as I said in option "A". The "those of " is wrong bc the abscence of the same form appeared before.

D.The which is wrong. And "They are" is confusing.

E. The "they " is redundant bc in first sentence there is a which. In terms of the use of the " those of ", there is not N+of in the sentence.

我想问的是，你们是怎么判断those是有指代还是没有指代的呢？因为如果是往前寻找复数名词，我们可能会找到2个复数名词，这个时候的those还是正确的嘛？
