我选的B,但答案为C.

为什么C 用 be signed , if the deal were

首先表目的用ＴＯ　ＤＯ　ＳＴＨ．，而不用ＦＯＲ　ＤＯＩＮＧ　ＳＴＨ．

还有这里是虚拟语态的表达．

1. make an offer to do sth. 是什么意思呢? MAKE 不是接原型的吗 ?

2. expect 在什么情况下用虚拟呢 ? 这里需要吗?

ohayo,你能把整个题目包括所有选项都贴出来吗？从哪儿弄的机经？

首先，if后面用了were to（was to不是书面语表示法）, 即从句用了虚拟语气，主句就不能用真实语气。if 从句有2个可能的主句，一个是be expected, 一个是be signed, 这两个句子必然有一个是虚拟语气。

A是错的，两个可能的主句都是真实语气。

B是错的，make an offer for buying不如make an offer to buy好；两个可能的主句都是真实语气；was不是书面语。

C 有可能是对的，is expected, be signed,只有be signed是虚拟语气，所以和if 是一对。至少语法上是没有错误的。主句+until (主句+从句)，

但是until后的这个主从结构和until之前的部分结合在一起的句义看起来很别扭，因为从句义上理解，这个if 更应该是和expect是一对。所以另外2个选项请你贴一下。

注：Until是可以加be型虚拟式的，主句时态不限，但是现代英语较少用。（与本题解题无关）。

这里的they指代的是那个？这个你明白了，这一题的C中的they就出来了。请不要机械理解代词指代。

they应该指The big bank 和the small bank
