A有两个错误：

1：in an attempt at developing 不对，应该是 in an attempt to develop

2：crossing gypsy moths with adult silkworms应该修饰French scientist ，但这里指代就不清楚了，我觉得更像是在指代the gypsy moth

做题时没有选D，是考虑到D把原句的重心都给改了，变成强调import去了，这违背了改错题的原则了吧？
