Thanks for your recommended book-handbook of MA Research. shall we look another issue-Financial Accounting VS Management Accounting?

The first focus on which accounting treatment is better. Most scholars prefer experimental research. It seems easy to find research topic, for example, Is Sarbanes-Oxley act useful for the decision making? How to balance the reliability and decision usefulness in accounting treatment?

The second is more complicated and far beyond the traditional accounting. It involves budget, ABC and Control system.Those whose major is not accounting can contribute in this area. For example, Kaplan major in Engineering.

I'm interested both so that it's difficult to select, as was the case that you meet dozens beauties/handsome boys.

Thanks for Judy and congratulates the happiness that you find your best lover. However, I’m not as happy as you because dozens of beautiful paper, like gorgeous lady, always attracted me. I read the ‘asset pricing’ by J Cochrane and the accounting research by Ray ball. Obviously both are interesting. If I anticipated future rationale, the only certainty is the varied possibility of the future. When I was twenty, I promised ‘love forever’, now it’s hard to make the commitment of forever.

Can I change to another perspective? Since the possibility of accept in Accounting is higher than that of Finance, Choose Accounting.

last question : How much effort should I take to fulfill the PHD, 80% or 90% of time ? If so, Why Phd?  Max Utility(Phd, money,job, love, family,friend…), constraint ( ά-time,ability, β-macroeconomic risk ),  Is Phd the best choice? How many think the process of Phd is happy?

Engineer Background Apply Accounting

你至少也要有诚意的修个accounting master或者把基础的intermediate I,II,III修完吧，不然accounting谁要你个engineer。说说最简单的东西你都不懂，当个ta比本科生知道得都少。

accounting基础知识太多了，这点和金融不一样，所以才导致申请人数少一些，视觉上好申请一些。因为极少有学校会像金融一样收物理，数学，生物这些完全没有商科背景的人。而且排名越差的学校还越重视accounting firm的工作经验。
