many of whom是非限制性定于从句把~whom指前面的peoople，

记得XDF讲过代词不能指代宾语之类的，people是of的宾语了，所以不能指代了吧。

个人看法，不知道对不对

首先，C选项中，Great Britain's land area，所有格形式，一般在GMAT考试不会推荐使用，E选项中that of就已经指代land area了
