1. People attend college or university for many different reasons (for example, new experiences, career preparation, increased knowledge). Why do you think people attend college or university?
Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Nowadays, as people's living standard has greatly improved more and more people attend college or university to get further education which I think is a favorable phenomenon. I believe that people who go to college or university can not only learn more knowledge systematically, but also can have new experience in the new environment, and what is more important is that they can accumulate sources to prepare for their future job.

First, I want to say the basic benefit to attend college or university is that people can expend their knowledge in subjects and cultivate their views in a broad range. For most people, this will be their last chance for a long time to learn about something which does not relate to their career. My major subject was computer science when I was in the university where not only did I learn kinds of professional knowledge such as database, programming and circuit, but also cultivate the interest of sports, like running, climbing, and so on. Heretofore, I still insist on running 5 kilometers for about four or five times every week, which I am sure I will not stop all my life.

Furthermore, people who go to colleges and universities will have a new experience in the new environment which will mean that they will have the opportunity to meet different people from those in their hometowns. For most students, going to college is the first time they have been away from home by themselves. In additions, they will also face the first time they have had to make decisions on their own, which will improve the ability of themselves.

What is the most important reason why people attend college or university is that it can provide them the significant preparation for future career. As well known, the job market is full of competition which brings huge challenges to ones who want to have a good job. Through the study in the university, they can learn new skill for careers with abundance opportunities. Last summer, my friend Wu Dong obtained a bachelor degree of Architecture and get a good job in a famous real estate agency.

In sum, I think it is a right thing for people to attend college or university. Obtaining of the great rang of knowledge, expansion of the view, unforgettable experience and plentiful career preparation, all of these benefits will be the vast wealth of one's life.
