正确答案是C。 An overwhelming proportion of women work已经是一句句子了，那么要不要在many of them之前要不要加个and？或者后半句改为many of whom..而不是many of them? 看了一整天的语法笔记，有点越来越搞的感觉。。。请大牛们指导啊。。

不能加and,因为后半句不是句子，many of them in middle management and light indusry.(没有谓语)

这个many of them in.....属于subgroup modifier.

When you want to describe a part of a larger group with a modifier, use one of the three Subgroup Modifier constructions.

1 This model explains all known subatomic particles, SOME OF WHICH WERE only recenly dicovered.

2 This model explains all known subatomic particles, SOME OF THEM only recenly dicovered.

3 This model explains all known subatomic particles, SOME only recenly dicovered.

这道题用的是第2种形式，请注意2和3都是没有谓语的。
