这道题d选项不怕gathering修饰不清么？既可以修饰navigator又可以修饰earth，不是么？

亟待大牛解答！

就句子意思来看,gathering这个动作是和sailed同时发生的.记得旧prep笔记中有介绍过ing的这种用法.

不过我也认为D表达得不够清楚,gathering我也看得晕晕的.

我倒是想不明白C的错处.

earth逻辑上无能力gathering information...因此不会产生歧义

c项prep的解释是错在两点，一similar to放句首必错，二where修饰地球不对。基于现在看来没有什么是必错的，我觉得c项错误主要还在二。

基于大家的说法，歧义不歧义不仅要看句法上的修饰，哪怕句法上修饰歧义了，但逻辑上只要其中一种没有可能，那么就不算歧义。。。

基本上还是句意超然于一切之上。真是至高无上，不可冒犯啊。。。。。
