我认为最根本的问题在于时态,过去完成时必须表示:过去的过去,  而这里只有过的时间和现在的时间(now  understand) 相比照，所以只有用一般过去时才合适。如果用过去完成时（如c所云），那么时间参照点在哪里？读者会以为还有一个动作在某一时间发生，而导致句子表达不明确。
