其实这个题还是蛮有有意思的，用Like A, B does 句型来比较两种看起来非常不相干的东西，其实正是看起来不相干，使得我们必须找到其共同点：both A and B are vanishing，而且其原因是相同的 -- as a result of ...。只有找到这个共性，才能正确选择到答案。

A. 仅仅说了the sandpipers are vanishing，没有体现the grassy fields and old pastures [[are also vanishing]], 也就是没有找到Like A, B结构中AB的共性！

C. 一个that 使得句子是两个从句连接，没有主句; change to中的介词也不对

DE同样没有主句, 句子结构不完整

这个句子里面的like A B dose怎么感觉比较对象不一样呢？
说的是like the grassy fields and old pastures,B怎么是bird呢？
