我查了后面的in addition的词性是adv,意思是“另外”，如果B要对的话，是不是in addition前面应该加个连词？比如and...

我不是NN，谈谈自己的看法，我觉得B最大的问题，是存在歧义，不知道in addition to修饰的是哪个成分。

应该是作为一个原因与due to后面的内容并列的，但是，由于逗号的隔开，使得它可能去修饰主句，产生歧义并改变句意。
