1.        As it becomes more frequent to have spouses who both work outside the home, companies are beginning to help in finding new employment for the spouses of transferred employees.

(A) it becomes more frequent to have spouses who both work outside the home

(B) it becomes more frequent to have couples both working outside the home

(C) it becomes more common that both husband and wife should be working outside the home

(D) it becomes more common for both husband and wife to work outside the homeD

(E) couples in which both of the spouses working outside the home become more common

这里面的it应该是形式主语, 真正的主语是both husband and wife to work outside the home,不知道理解的对不对?

2. it be adj. for x to do y,是常用的句式,据我观察也是GMAT之爱。

3. that从句的话,可以这样写:it becomes more common that both husband and wife work outside the home.

4. E的问题很多,wordy,which从句里的working,which应用who等等,而且couples become more common也扭曲原句意思。

common=普遍的
frequent=常發生的
it becomes more frequent...在這句上好像it becomes more common比較好.

我不确定的是B的句型是否可以接收 it ... to have couples...

The phrasing of A and B is imprecise: frequent describes an event that recurs often; common is needed here to describe a general condition.  Also, it is not clear who is to have the spouses. In B, couples creates an additional problem; the intended meaning is that both spouses (two people) work outside the home, ot that both couples (four people) do. C is wordy and potentially ambiguous in that should be working could be read as ought to work. E, wordy and garbled, does not clearly indicate what it is that is becoming more common - couples, spouses, or households in which both husband and wife work outside the home. D is correct for this fairly easy question.
