这是一道语法题及其正确答案，THAN 的前后比较中心词应该都是SPEEDS，可是画线部分的答案显示比较前后一个是名词SPEEDS另一个是句子，比较的中心词是不一样的，与这道题很相似的Og中的题如下

LZM一书的例子即OG187.
187.In one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War, fought at Sharpsburg, Maryland, on September 17, 1862, four times as many Americans were killed as would later be killed on the beaches of Normandy during D-Day.
(A) Americans were killed as
(B) Americans were killed than
(C) Americans were killed than those who
(D) more Americans were killed as there
(E) more Americans were killed as those who
OG解释中有这么一句： in C and E, those who is a wordy intrusion.
什么时候该省略主语？这个问题我也没有想清楚。看了OG187的解释，有一些体会，但是又总结不出来，可能是例句还太少的原因。
感觉把987省略主语的题都找出应该能回答这个问题，可惜我的word使用没有gemj那么熟练呀！

个人看法：我觉得无须总结一个固定的比较的定理，因为文法的表达千变万化，但是万变不离其宗，这个宗就是比较的对等和一致。
   如OG187：B，C两个选项容易混：
   B插分两个句子：
   1。Americans were killed （（in one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War, fought at Sharpsburg, Maryland, on September 17, 1862））（4份）
   2。would later be killed on the beaches of Normandy during D-Day.（1份）这里就省略了Americans，语法上成立的。
   再比较这两个句子，是不是对等呢？？是的，因此：成立

C插分为两个句子：
1。Americans were killed （（in one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War, fought at Sharpsburg, Maryland, on September 17, 1862））（4份）
2。 those who would later be killed on the beaches of Normandy during D-Day.（1份）
比较看，1句在说Americans were killed ，2句比的却是 those ，肯定不对等，错

首先，我认为：这个句子本身在at speeds 后省略了that are，而这个比较，其实是比较从句：

插分：
1。 at speeds （that are high）（high的多）
2。（at speeds that）are currently possible（high的少）

不知道可以理解我的意思没有。

有一点补充：这样的插分永远默认比较两个句子。

不好意思，我认为你的说法有误。

比较中，than 和 as 都可以兼做其后面比较部分的主语。（如果是主语和主语在比较的话）所以都可以省略主语，直接接谓语。

没有你们说的那么复杂阿！
