d的意思：S在被宣布死型后，拒绝出逃，他本来可以拒绝出逃的。注意这里的done是指代Refusing

我想问E错在？

(E) Socrates could have fled from Athens but refused to （do so）after he was sentenced to death

加上下划线的部分就对了？

'but' means 'refused' and 'fled' share the 'could have', so 'refused' became subjunctive. But 'refused' in fact occurred.
