[录取汇报] Ivey VS UNC

Got offer from UNC last mid night.

But i didn't find anything about scholarship. a bit disappointed. how about other UNC admits?

Ivey requested me to submit deposit before Dec 22nd 2008.

I know there're a lot of NNs in CD, therefore I asked for YOUR advice about how to pick up one from two!

Hi Nicholas, several key considerations from my point of view:

- whether you really fit case method. I am not sure if you have attended case classes by Ivey in China. Do you find yourself comfortable? I have to say that case methods are really good way of learning, but not a fit for everyone. consider cracking over 10 cases each week. My friend at Ivey told me, I enjoy the classes, but feel so stretched every day...

- whether you wanna immigrate to Canada..if you do, then I bet you will go for Ivey

- what you really want to do upon graduation. I believe that a lot of schools offer tremendous opportunities, but still each school has its traditional strengths. One way to know about these is through alumni. Personally I find chatting with alumni are very useful in terms of getting insider information

PS - I did not get scholarship information either from UNC.

I attended Ivey's case in Shanghai and but IMO it's still far from real case classes.

As far as career progression upon graudation,I want to do fund investment if possible.I will take your advice to talk with alumni more often.

BTW: hope we can be classmates in the near future.

Here, the information found in Kenan-flagler's website. Guess we'll have to wait for the scholarship decision mail in 1 or 2 weeks.

Ivey应该都是1年的program了，看你自己是不是想要career switch了，我没见过UNC的人，有一些同事是Ivey的，感觉差异很大，有非常NB的也有一般般的，之前和一个一年制毕业的人一起做项目觉得so so啦。

另外加拿大的留学监应该是待满两年，一年的program就意味着你还得想办法在加拿大再待一年，MS加拿大现在工作也不是很好找，可能理解的有偏差，欢迎其他NN指正
