none of主谓的问题

请教none of X后面的谓语应该是单数还是复数. 以下是从大全阅读里找出来的.

when None of is followed by a plural noun, it usually takes a plural verb in ordinary speech.

But in formal writing a singular verb is used.

I think your examples from RC should not fully govern the questions in SC, because SC questions are specially designed while RC are written by others in general.

If a question involves 'none of', you need to look for other clues. If 'none of' is your very last choice to eliminate an option, I would go with the 'none of ... + singular verb'.
