1、这只是while doing...（根据状从省略的原理可以得出）

2、我觉得while在这里应该表示转折对比，意思是but,whereas...

（1）我知道这里只有while + doing的情况，但是解释说while后可直接跟现在分词、名词、形容词或介词短语。

白勇又说状语从句的省略的错误表达：表示转折、时间、条件的连接词+名词短语、介词短语。

那么名词、介词短语的情况不就冲突了吗？

我感觉和while后的at the same time冲突了

at the same time是while从句里的时间状语，不是主体，主体还是while doing。

日常语法里面...while后面加名词和介词短语都是可以的...但是GMAT家的语法这点没见过...

我没看到它说表示“与...同时”啊...momo...在哪里？

我有见过几个when+介词短语、名词短语，表示状语从句的省略形式的错误表达，就是不确定while，从来没见过。不知道是白勇错还是prep解释错。

那个“与...同时”是我在test1-130看到的，混拉~~~混拉~~~不好意思没有标名，现在我把他帖出来：

while 是连词 at the same time 是个时间状语  应该不存在语义冲突的的情况

如果while能表达“与...同时”的意思，为什么还要加上at the same time？

如果省略at the same time后，不影响原文意思的表达的话，就应该省略，否则就是累赘

词性不存在冲突也不代表语意不存在冲突哦
