请教TTGWD1-8

白勇的GMAT语法里说物不能用's，那C为什么错呢？是因为in dealing with吗？我觉得没什么不对啊~

Q8:

Sulfur dioxide, a major contributor to acid rain, is an especially serious pollutant because it diminishes the respiratory system’s ability to deal with all other pollutants.

1. an especially serious pollutant because it diminishes the respiratory system’s ability to deal
2. an especially serious pollutant because of diminishing the respiratory system’s capability of dealing
3. an especially serious pollutant because it diminishes the capability of  the respiratory system in dealing
4. a specially serious pollutant because it diminishes the capability of  the respiratory system to deal
5. a specially serious pollutant because of diminishing the respiratory system’s ability to deal

   Answer: A

1.      the capability to do 较书面语

2.      the respiratory system’s指人体的呼吸系统属于本能天生的所以使用ability is right…..至于capability为表达某能力
            在用字精确性上不佳

the capability of doing sth ----

the capability （of  the respiratory system ） in dealing ----〉in dealing ---> of dealing

have the capaility to do sth

最好不要把's 作为排除的依据， 除非 a of b's  ---- 以及 a's ---中的a 在后面又代词指代。

除了这两个's的绝对错误，还是从其他方面来排除
