[E]OG-54,请指点!

54. Galileo was convinced that natural phenomena, as manifestations of the laws of physics, would appear the same to someone on the deck of a ship moving smoothly and uniformly through the water as a person standing on land.
A.water as a
B.water as to a
C.water; just as it would to a
D.water, as it would to the
E.water; just as to the

Galileo是使人信服还是被信服?2.as manifestations of the laws of physics为什么不是like manifestations of the laws of physics呢?

I think "as" here is a conjunction which connects two parts that are the same (structurally). A lot of the structures appear as phrases in GMAT, as in the above example.

1, 'convinced' here is an adj.
2, 'as' ---作为。。。
'like' 像。。。
they are different
