这道题我想问的不是比较，而是关于expectations后的that从句。答案解释里the relative clause explaining theseexpectations should be conditional, employingthe auxiliary verb would. 那么这里的would表达的含义是说从句中的动词还没有发生，只是一种预期情况吗？

还有就是为什么这里的expectaion也是conditional的，这里到底说它是条件句还是虚拟句呢？条件句和虚拟句又有什么区别，还是这两就是一个东西呢？

实在晕了，求大神帮忙。

conditional tense: a verb tense formed by combining the helping verb "would" with the base form of the verb. the verb's tense clearly represents the author's intension.
the helping verb expresses the future from the past's point of view.

expectation发生在过去，但是expect的内容是将来的事情。

哦哦知道了那这个和那个虚拟语气又有什么区别呢？虚拟也可能是在过去假设未来的事啊
