请问破折号后面是作什么成份的呢？对于破折的用法不太明白。

另外like an expert指是的reason like an expert 还是 understand English and other human

languages, recognize objects, and reason 这三个动作like an expert？？？

pretty close. in my opinion. 破折号以后是 ideas inserted as an afterthought. 更象插入语
