anybody had Yale alumni or phone interview?

Got a mail from Yaleinviting me to interview in New Haven.However, as I am now in Shanghai, it is almost impossible for me to go to U.S.Therefore, I plan to ask for an alumni or phone interview. Does this matter a lot as to the way of interview?Anybody had alumni or phone interview with Yale?
