MBA Alumni Happy Hour

January 11, 2004

Shanghai MBA Network is co-founded by 12 MBA alumni clubs in Shanghai which include: Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania; Graduate School of Business, University of Chicago; Harvard Business School; The University of Michigan Business School; Graduate School of Business, Columbia University; Sloan School of Management, MIT; Graduate School of Business, Stanford University; Yale School of Management; Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University; The Anderson School at UCLA; Leonard N. Stern School of Business, New York University and Johnson School of Management, Cornell University. Our mission is to integrate alumni from each member school in Shanghai, to create and identify opportunities for further professional development, and to promote opportunities for alumni to contribute to the local community.

Alumni from each member school and their friends are cordially invited. Also, the Asia Business Association, China Tour Group from the Johnson School of Management at Cornell University will be participating in our gathering. At the Happy Hour, you will settle back on the comfy sofas of China-In Lounge, a classy blend of traditional Chinese and modern décor. The relaxed lounge atmosphere will soon put you in the mood for meeting up with old friends and making new acquaintances.

just for my curiosity, among all those schools listed, which one has the most alumni in Shanghai? or in China? I am surprised that Darden is not in the club, since there are many Darden Chinese MBAs.

The information from Wharton reception is: there are 40-50 Wharton alumni in Shanghai, the same number as HBS alumni in Shanghai.

I heard from an alum that there are over 100 Chicago alum in SH.
