Gmat is aquired by most of the university all ove the world. While as I know, if you only want to get an economic master degree in Northern America, at least in Canada, no need for you to get a GRE, Tofel is enough. they just care about your GPA during your undergraduated study and your Tofel.
and for the Gmat, I think you are a student now, no work experience, therefore, it's harder than those guys with some big experience to get an offer, unless you got an unbelievable high score in Gmat and a perfect essay. on the other hand, majoring in economics also you can select some courses about management and market, just depends on your direction.
