请大家帮我分析一下，我该读MBA吗

It depends on your interest. Do you like to do researches?

Keep in mind though, university is one of the best employer. If you have the opportunity to keep yourself from the ups and downs in the real life, wouldn't it be nice not to have to worried about what normal people worry about? 

Actually I could've chosen to go down the academic route, but I wanted a "real life". Now, seeing classmates getting into top graduate programs, and I'm just working in a small market research/semi-consulting firm, I feel that my potentials aren't recognized. Even though I always had MBA in mind, there are more uncertainties and complications down this path.

On the other hand, I do enjoy experiencing different dimensions of the society. I like the work I'm doing, although I don't feel that I'm compensated fairly. MBA is pretty much my only bet now. I could go for an economic master or something similar, but that would just suck.

i don't think it is easy to get into a top 3 mba program even with your advisor's letter. it is simply wasting time for everyone who thinks you will go for an academic career.

理工科的PHD转MBA倒不少见，商科的PHD转MBA好像很少见。

实话实说，我觉得你现在quit不quit，进TOP 10 MBA的机会都不大。

Quit的话，让人觉得你没恒心，或者是对自己的方向把握不准；

不Quit的话，拿了个商科PHD再去读MBA，我还真是想不出怎样能把career path/goal的essay写好。

导师写推荐信，去TOP 3的MBA十拿九稳？这个似乎有点。。。。呵呵~  MBA的essay不是教授读的，是admission officer读的。adcom们相当于HR，对学术界的大牛未必清楚。万一读你的文件的adcom没听过你导师的名字，在业界名声再响也没用。

我的建议就是，坚持把PHD读完。我觉得MBA能做的事，商科PHD也能做，而且在某些方面可以做得更好。
