[求助]请教达人！拿到GWU MSF AD，关于prerequisite courses的问题

仔细看了下收到的GWU的ad，发现里面提到:

Be advised that you need to complete the prerequisite courses in ACCOUNTANCY, FINANCE, ECONOMICS, AND STATISTICS prior to your enrollment.

Workshops of our prerequistite courses in Math, Statistics, Economics, and Finance are being offered in the summer prior to the start of thee fall semester. Each one consists of five four-hour classes. These classes are optional but highly recommended. The cost is subsidized by the Program and is offered at a nominal fee of $800 per course. Additional information regarding the workshops, orientation and registration activities will be forwarded to you once the scheduling of classes and events are finalized.

（我本科学的是专业是材料学，已工作2年）我想知道，是不是收到GWU的xdjm都是这种情况？是否我必须参加这些预科呢~（第二节又说是optional的，搞不懂到底要不要参加了）？那如果要的话，是否要提前去美国呢？这些预科的学费又怎么算呢，每门800刀？真是被他们搞得晕死了~~~~希望达人牛人好心人能够指点迷津呀~~~~万分感谢咯~~~~~o(∩_∩)o...

还有个问题就是enrollment fee 400刀 是否就是deposit呢？ 到时是否抵扣学费呢~~？
