D:不选的原因，应该是certain characteristics 被acquired by their steers，逻辑不合理吧

牛杂交，然后一种牛的certain characteristic 被acquired by 另一种牛所acquired，这样去想好像没什么问题呀。刚一看楼上的解释把steers理解成breeders了，如果是acquired by breeders，那很明显是错误，但后来 一看是steers，觉得似乎没什么问题。楼上不知也没有看错吧。GMAT看来不象TOFLE,有些题甚至不需要理解具体每个词的意思，但是GMAT每个词的理解似乎不可忽略。
