Because of recent staff turnover and a lack of career services staff until very recently, we do not have very much placement data. We began collecting placement data just recently, starting with our Winter 2005 graduating class. Since then, we have been improving our collection techniques and building our data set. However, at this time, I am afraid I don’t have very reliable data to provide to you.
What we do know is that our graduates tend to make an average starting salary consistent with other MBA programs: $53,400 with a reported range of $16,000 - $115,000. Our current data is not broken down by country of origin, so I cannot tell you how many Chinese students in particular have received job offers. The MSF students tend to, on the whole, have better placement rates. Of the total number of graduates (from all programs) responding to our survey since Winter ’05 (48 out of 147 for a 26% response rate) 26 indicated that they were employed between 0 and 3 months from graduation and five reported that they are not seeking employment.(总的来说回答的样本不大,就是样本也很一般```一半多点的学生找到工作)
While we cannot guarantee placement, what we do guarantee is lifelong preparation for job searching. The Office of Career Services offers individual appointments, workshops and resources to help students write resumes, craft cover letters, interview well, search for jobs, network, etc… We also organize job fairs and information sessions. We put plenty of effort into finding employer contacts for our students and we utilize the system, eRecruiting, to post jobs targeted to our students.
