D里面，后面drawing就会变成一个修饰语。分词修饰语要修饰前面主句里的主语，需要满足两个条件。
1）要修饰最近的先行句里的主语。
2）需要传达与主句的关系要么是马上的结果，要么就是同时的动作，或者说是次要的动作。

整个句子意思想表达的是神经科学家过去积累了什么什么经验，现在弄出一个结论。重点在后面，are drawing应该是个main verb。
