所以厚着脸皮来问一下

法律等词后面接现在分词
            是GMAT常见的形式吧

但为何这题不可接aiming与improving平行

有问nn说policy不会主动去aim.但法令也不会主动去做动作啊,

这个理由实在无法说服我

这题我选C还有另外一个原因

decreasing operating costs不会造成歧义吗?

另外关于法令法规用doing的问题 我的理解：

当policy后面所说的 是该policy的内容的时候，就用doing，比如punishing / limiting

而这里的aimed显然是policy的一个属性、性质，它本身是修饰policy而非介绍其内容，所以不用doing

比如我们可以把这个OG的例子改成

They made a policy- requiring people to do sth- aimed at decreasing sth.

不知道是否解释清楚了

这道题我没遇到过。

不过aimed at doing是符合语法的，作定语修饰前面的名词也是对的。

decreasing和improving平行也是对的。我想选A

decrease后面不能加doing吧？你的decreasing怎么能修饰operating？

可以是
            减少操作的费用
            以及
            减少(操作费用)

1. aim的固定用法是aim at doing sth.

请注意，C选项是aiming at sth.这个无论如何都是错的

至于policy后面跟aiming还是aimed不必追究，可以通过其他语法点绕路而行

2.decrasing在A中是动词的分词形式，这个时候它既不修饰operating也不修饰costs，而是理解为doing sth.; 只有当decreasing是动名词（与less同意、同功能)作定语的时候才可能出现修饰歧义。

其实楼主mm的这题用aimed还是aiming就是看policy和aim之间的主动还是被动关系，这里省略了policy (that is )aimed at ...

如果有aiming的话，就是policy自己来以这个目的干什么，可是你自己从自己的意思理解，这可是人来aim的哦
