问题1: 答案B中，some of them at tremendous speeds 做什么成分？是独立主格做状语吗？
问题2：og对于A选项的解释：placement of modifying phrase and the comparison are awkward and ineffective。。。说A选项中的 some of them at tremendous speeds应该放在motion后，这样才清晰。。我不明白为什么~直接没看懂这段解释、、

some of them at tremendous speeds补充说明stars吧，应该算是独立主格吧，A里的being比较多余吧

拆呗，去掉同位语（some of them at tremendous speeds),得到两句话
==>The stars are in motion just as the planets are
==>The stars (yet) being so far away from Earth that.... 这句话既充当主句又好似同位语修饰stars(being so far away)...就导致句子整体结构混乱。

不是同位语. 同位语在逻辑含义上是可以互换的. 这里的some of 决定了不能互换, 因为范围不对.

这里是独立主格. 我手边没有语法书的电子版，从baidu上找了一个说明：

“独立主格结构”是由名词或代词作为逻辑主语，加上分词、形容词、副词、动词不定式或介词短语作为逻辑谓语构成。这种结构在形式上与主句没有关系，通常称为“独立主格结构”。

顺便给个简单例句。 He stood there, hands waving.
