这里traveling的位置是不是很好，但是也可以理解为表示伴随动作，就在两个人的名字后面，而后面就是谓语动词，也没有夹心修饰的问题。后面的and they，这里也没有什么问题，they代替了前面的主语，之所以要重复一下，就是因为距离那两个人太远了。A do, and A（they,it) do结构是对的。一个例子就是：

C中是不是少了一個and 我覺得是 In 1905 Béla Bartók and Zoltán Kodály began their pioneering work in ethnomusicology, traveling the back roads of Hungary and armed only.... 如果沒有and, "armed only.."只可以修飾Hungary, 可以armed的意思是equipped, Hungary不可能equipped一個phonograph(唱片機)跟curiosity吧...
還有看不慬OG說為什麼only在B中是misplaced. 我覺得 they were armed only with an Edison phonograph and insatiable curiosity 跟 they were only armed with an Edison phonograph and insatiable curiosity 都一樣, 雖然大部的情況下, only的位置會令句子有不同的意思...
