4. It has been said, "Not everything that is learned is contained in books." Compare and contrast knowledge gained from experience with knowledge gained from books. In your opinion, which source is more important? Why? 1。实践所获得的知识有些是书本无法获得的 2。实践更易于理解 更适合我 3. 书本的知识也都是经过实践验证而得到的,让步:当然书本的知识更加系统,获得知识需要的时间更少
When asked about the issue of the way to gain knowledge, there is much controversy. Some claim that reading books is the best way, while others advocate knowledge gained from experience is much deeper and more comprehensive than that gained form books. Absolutely speaking, I fundamentally agree with the later one. In the following passages, I will use variey of specific reasons to demonstrate my opinion. The first reason for my general agreement is that we can not acquire any knowledge by reading books. For instance, we can not acquire answers of the questions such as how to keep a close relation with others, how to deal with personal finance, and what is the most important charactor, even we read all books in the world. In addition, if we want to find solutions for these problems, we must do it by ourselves. When I make a frind, I will know the key to keep a friendship. When I taka a note for my finance, I will understand my own financial condition. In these cases, obviously, it is more helpful to gain knowledge by experiments rathan than reading books. Another reaon why I essentially hold the point is that I find the hand-on method is right for most people. In my case, because I am a very visual learner. If I can see what is happening,I have a much easier time understanding it .Reading a book dose not give the ease. I can illustrate a sample, when I read a book about geography, particularly technical one, I sometimes have trouble visualizing exactly what is being explained. However, when I actually see the process,it's much easier for me to understand. And this condition often happened when I study about biology or chemistry. That is the prime reason why the biologists and chemistriests take all time in a laboratory not in a library. So, I keep my belief that the way gain knowledge from experience is the better one. Last but not the least, the knowledge in the books always are sustantiated by experience. As the famous man said that:" Practices bring us the truth." Though some claim it will save time to gain knowledge by reading books, experience is still the most directive and effective way to study. In sum, there are still several other aspects relevant to the issue under discussion, which, unfortunately, I have no time to explore in detail. For what has been discussed above we may safely draw the conclusion that experience is much better than books if we want to gain the deeper and more comprehensive knowledge.
