一个错误的答案,怎么复原?

答案就是D

是his works-translated 和those of any other比.记得有道汽车的题也是这么比较的,容易粗心错掉.

问题是OG的解释并没有说这个答案存在语法上的错误，只是说它做了不合逻辑的错误比较。C This alternative illogically compares works and dramatist，所以我觉得这里好像是有什么我不懂的语法点。再看下面这句话：

Laws requiring the use of headlights during daylight hours can prevent automobile collisions. However, since daylight visibility is worse in countries farther from the equator, any such laws would obviously be more effective in preventing collisions in those countries. In fact, the only countries that actually have such laws are farther from the equator than is the continental United States.

该句来自11th-Review 44, OG对这句话的翻译是：The only countries having these laws are those located farther from the equator than is the continental U.S。

想不通这个比较句的是如何省略的。这个比较句的省略中，is的作用是什么呢？有个CDer是这样答我的：The only countries having these laws are those located farther from the equator than the continental U.S (located from the equator)。但是is去了什么地方？难道是这样的吗：The only countries having these laws are those located farther from the equator than （the country having these laws) is the continental U.S (located from the equator)。怪怪的。

请指导。

than 后面如果主语长或修饰成分多，为避免头重脚轻，be动词可以倒装到主语前。所以

than are any＝than (contemporary German dramatist.)are(produced)
