Choice A can be faulted because it is not at first clear whether caused by modifies increase or malaria.

because of 为什么就没有修饰不清的问题呢？

以前也有人问过这个问题，不过没有答案，再问一遍~

因為because of 是連接詞片語，所處理的是前面與後面的兩個整體。

A....because of B....（不能是句子)    A發生了什麼事因為B（動作、事件、現象)

而caused by的caused 是分詞形式，那就有modify的作用，也會有指代的問題

還有resistance to，沒看過resistance against，所以A, D are both wrong.

根據題意，瘧疾發病率的增加來自於蚊子抗藥性的提升。

C的第一個increasing 沒有必要，increase本身就是名詞了; incidence of malaria也是固定的:瘧疾的發病率

E的"incidence of malaria increase" grammarically wrong, 也跟開頭的There has been a 邏輯不合；後面because of 接的increased mosquito resistance也awkward，他because of 想要接n, 可是這個n的形式又是用過去分詞，會跟基本的語法有衝突，所以會讓人awkward.

其實本題對我比較難的地方在fold這個字，是30到40倍的意思。

我一開始不認識，於是不確定是否可以把30- to 40-fold當作主語，

因為這個定位牽涉到接下來increase的型態判斷，

不過根據後面的邏輯去推「蚊子對抗藥性增加」，那自然要談的就是瘧疾發病上升。

一點分享，請多指教。

简单一点~~

首先：resistance和against不搭配，后加to(resistance本来就有对抗的意思，和agaist也重复啊，这个和oppose很像）

其次，有一个语法知识点是XDF讲过的，就是AB结构往往没有B of A结构好，尤其是n前加了一大堆adj的，容易混淆~
