为什么选(B)，为什么会有there are，还有(A)为什么不对？谢谢

as many as，第二个as跟前面的是一体，A的as跟后面是一体。

B，there are more than three times as many households where ... as there are households where...比较词的前后对应完美。

as...as本来就是比较的意思;

as...as compared to有redundant之嫌;

而且,compared to是将...比作的意思

要比较,也用compare A with B
