OG12-138 关于as句型的省略问题

(A) did its return in 1910–1911

(B) had its 1910–1911 return

(C) in its return of 1910–1911

(D) its return of 1910–1911 did

(E) its return in 1910–1911

还原以后句子
Halley's comet caused such a worldwide sensation in no other historical sighting as（it did）in its return of 1910-1911.
在这里as不是表“作为”的意思，所以应该加句子才对
答案C
那是不是as后面句子的主谓和前面句子的一样，因此可以省略呢

这题我也错了后来想想，A和D一样
选C是因为such as比的是in no other historical sighting 和in its return in 1910两个时间点，而不是its return
拙见是如果前面的是did halley's Comet's return cause，就选A或者D了

In no other historical sighting did Halley’s Comet cause such a worldwide sensation as did its return in 1910–1911.

(A) did its return in 1910–1911

(B) had its 1910–1911 return

(C) in its return of 1910–1911

(D) its return of 1910–1911 did

(E) its return in 1910–1911

还原以后句子
Halley's comet caused such a worldwide sensation in no other historical sighting as（it did）in its return of 1910-1911.
在这里as不是表“作为”的意思，所以应该加句子才对
