people in the south 在南方的人（比如北方的同学回来南方读书，就是people in the south 强调一种位置关系）
people of the south 南方的人（比如我去北方读书，我可以讲，我是 a person of the south but a person in the north，of强调一种属性）

1.Manhattan 中说VAN原则，即Verb优于adj优于noun，所以the strengthening是吧strengthening用作了名词，造成了awkward，用其动词形式更好
2. dedicated to doing 是固定搭配
3. of是从属，北方的经济应用economy of north，如果是in，一般说sb或者某物在北方，而不是“北方的”
4.with 表示伴随，而through表示通过某种方式达到目的
