连接词组的用法

问一下 in addition to, as well as, according to, in reference to之类的词组连接两个成分的时候需要做到主语一致么？

比如In addition to an album, I gave him a pen and a pencil.这个是主语一致的。

但是according to..好像有的不需要主语一致，According to our records, the books you have borrowed should now be returned to the library.

是真的这样么？ 为什么是这样的？ 谢谢大家！

确切的说, according to 和 in reference to 是不能和 in addition to, as well as同日而语的.

according to 按照 &  in reference to 参照

逻辑上不表示连接. 所以事实上According to our records, the books you have borrowed should now be returned to the library.中,the books you have borrowed should now be returned to the library整句话是according 的对象. 而且according to是介词成份,表示伴随状况, 在这里according 不是动词, 不需要主语.

理解了上面的, in reference to 是一样的.

in addition to 也不是连接词组,是表示在原来的基础上, 额外的; 所以逻辑主语当然要一致.

as well as有连接的意思, 意思上表示同样的. 逻辑主语也要一致.
