repel作为一个及物动词（译作：使反感，使厌恶）可以以人为主语。所以可以排除A B E选项
C D 选项，第一主动优先原则。
第二简单句优先与复杂句原则。所以选择C

这个是前辈们对这题的讨论。

至于下一题，the pension benefits 是earned 的修饰对象，所以用被动。
information 指代的是前面的整个从句。即本身为同位语从句。
其他问题我觉得很多问题都出在平行结构 and 上
