According to a new scientific research on meerkats, the lecture cast doubt on the altruistic behaviors described in the reading passage. Futhermore altrusim among people also should be given careful consideration too.

    First a recent observation on meerkats closely reveals that meekats are not so altuirstic as majority people used to believe. For example, a sentinel usually eats before standing guard, and it is the one  who most likely to escape after alarming others when it sees a predators since its position is nearest to the burrows. That is, the sentinel benefits a lot both in food and safety.

    Second people who share food with strangers and donate body organs to others
                        don’t gain nothing actually.They gain non-material reward. Though the reward is not so obviously as money and any other kinds
                of profits.

     In conclution, the lecture make the point that acts between people and other mammals might not so altruistic as mentioned in the reading passage.
