UCLA, Duke, Cornell 投票

前三个都是admission, Tuck on WL. 是否值得等Tuck?

烦恼选校中,欢迎投票并说明原因。

本人non-traditional background (non-business, non-technology, non-government). 尚未完全确定未来方向,有心从事finance (or real estate finance)

LA & NYC are two largest Real Estate Market in the US. Therefore, UCLA.

Real estate sector includes real estate development and real estate finance, so either LA or NYC would have more opportunities for you, but as I know, it is very difficult for an international to get in thise sector. I suggest you not narrow down to only real estate industry, if you want to do finance, Tuck is the best one in Wall Street, then Cornell, Duke, and UCLA

if real estate, ucla

LA has lots of Real Estate Private Equity companies and they do recruit international students every year from either ucla or usc.I personally know lots of Chinese in CMBS, Development, PE, IB, REITS.

Steven is right, Real Estate is relation driven business. But if you don't know any people in US, why not choose a school which locates in a big city and has strong connection to the industry?

And, I may go to real estate finance too and have decided to join anderson although I have offers from east coast, one of the other schools in ur list gave me offer too.

ha, man.... ennn right.

The whole process is:

In Jan. Fuqua sent me email: you dont have TOEFL

I sent email back telling them I have been in US for 5 years, no need for TOEFL anymore

Then fuqua just pissed me off and put me to round 3. I have got Anderson at that time, so, I just forgot about it.

In March, they sent me email again asking for TOEFL

now I sent an email back saying: I 've got offers from other top schools. If you keep on asking me to submit TOEFL, I will not consider fuqua anymore and want to get my application fee refunded.

Then in April, they said: Okay ur TOEFL is waived.

Then last week I said: damn it, you know how slim the chance is to get offer in round 3? please just refund my application fee.

Then they said: we will put a note on ur file reminding admission guys to give ur priority.

I said: NO, I wanna my money back.

Finally they sayd: you are admitted but application fee wont be refunded

I said: Okay, anyway, so far 100% success rate is still a good feeling. ha
