Different people have different experience. I especially like the Honor code system in Darden. In stead of taking exam in a classroom and be monitored by a teacher, you can take ALL the exam to your home and do it by yourself. Have you ever done an exam that way? Pretty fun, right?  The key is no one cheat.

You don't need to worry. Chinese (even Korean) are quite safe and I never see/heard any incident aimming at CHinese.

Overall CHarlottesville is very safe, you can go out even in night, not like many big cities. Safty is one of ADVANTAGE of UVA.
