这里应该是competitive with而不是against.

D为什么不好？是否因为competitive与compete还是有意思上的区别。尤其are not competitive，表示的是“没有竞争力”，与原文意思相反？

我想请教的是，除了competitive的歧义（如果的确存在的话），in order that和so that在本句中区别在哪？so that表结果，in order that表目的。如果其他部分都相同的话，本句中用in order that也没什么不行吧，是吗？

我看以前的讨论，说根据句意应该是表结果，不是表目的。但这种感觉也是因为看了答案之后被引导出来的吧。就本句看，表目的或表结果的从句，都能清楚地解释和反应主句的意思。是否？

我的看法：

首先，对于A，问题不在于so as to。因为前后的逻辑主语是一致的。而且，so as to也不是说只能用在简单句中

其次，D的问题在于没有competitive against的用法，正确的应该是competitive with/compete with(against).
