看了前人的讨论，还是无法定论，D和E

D中的缺点是  plummeting in the last year  感觉in the last year应该是完成时态

E中  are increasingly common 似乎没有 becoming increasingly common好

并且前人讨论过的转折，首先E中并没有转折的意思，while除了弱转折也可以伴随的

牛牛有什么看法吗

赞成D.while无法表达因果关系。而D是独立主格开头，且平行，修饰主句。

E.While可以引导让步,并列和时间状语。让步错，并列错，引导时间状语后面用过去完成时我觉得很怪。就算可以，也无法表达出原句的因果关系。
