topic是 should higher education be available to all students or only to good students? 我自己感觉一般,希望大家给批改一下!!!!!!!!谢了!!!!! Living in such an era when incredible developments are taking place ceaselessly, Chinese people have gradually come to realize the significance of getting higher education. In the mean time, the educational reform in this venerable country these years has granted a remarkable population the opportunity of entering universities. Naturally, this phenomenon provokes the intense controversy of whether all students, no matter how well they do in academic field, should be allowed into universities. Personally, I tend to believe that, only good students, instead of students in all levels, should be admitted to universities, and I will explore several reasons as follow. One primary cause is that only good students, in most cases, virtually concern about their study. Students who are qualified to enter universities and further their education often do pretty well in their high school and have mostly fully prepare to get more detailed and specific education in the universities. Meanwhile, their purposes of going to university are to lay a solid foundation for their future career, to pursue their dreams and also, to realize their unlimited potential. In contrast, poor students tend to be lazy and unmotivated; instead of focusing their time on study, their often prefer to cozy but aimless life. In between the option of staying in laboratories or library doing research and getting immersed into computer games or cyber life online, they are more likely to pick the latter. This means that the existence of poor students in universities would bring no benefits but only have a negative influence on those excellent ones. It is also obvious to notice that if universities were available to all students, they would definitely overload almost in no time, and what follows as the consequence is the decline of the educational quality. Poor students will occupy part of the invaluable teaching resources such as teachers, classrooms as well as other hardware facilities but not make good use them; on the other hand, prominent students will acquire comparatively less resources to utilize. For instant, they may desperately find the courses they want to take have been crowded with too many people. Furthermore, they may fail to get access to useful information on the internet with the school's network service as countless users are making it overloaded. What even worse is that some good students might be affected by those poor and get degenerated in the campus! Undoubtedly, everyone should be given the right to receive higher education, but it doesn't absolutely points that universities should be accessible to all of them as we have seen so many drawbacks doing so. And for a student failed in his/her previous education really want to go to the university, I think maybe s/he should first return to high school and make up those courses failed.
